It is located at eastern side of Tirupati, at the foot hills of Tirumala. Cradled by nature near the State High way connecting to Tirupati to Venkatagiri. A joint venture of NTPC BHEL Power Projects Pvt. Ltd (NBPPPL) is under construction here, which are both Navartana, Public sector companies of Govt. of India. The prime objective of the company is to enhance the capability and capacity of the power sectors and its supplements.

When it is fully established, NBPPPL will provide direct and indirect employment to 6000 and 25000 men and women respectively with an investment of cr. It w ill also enable the establishment of more than 400 subsidiary units. The Lush green hills are soon to witness the completion of the 4 lane high way road by 2012. A separate broad gauge railway line is under construction to Renigunta Railway junction, which will enable rail connectivity to Chennai , Bangalore , Mumbai , Kolkata and Delhi.
